Tisja believes that her strong connection to the complete process gives life to her signature designs and stories. This is a journey she hopes to take on for many, many years; to ensure this, she stays close to herself, and every stage and creation reflects her personality and considerate approach to creating and sharing.

The design process, the development of patterns, and sampling are done in our atelier in Amsterdam to develop a distinction in the design, quality, and fit. With this, we avoid extra transport or unnecessary development cost and time. Even the smallest waste inspires us to create… The remaining little pieces of materials are a treasure box for Tisja, creating an opportunity to be creative as a designer and to look at it in a different way. Some of her pieces feature a patchwork element, combining the materials in different ways, so even the smallest pieces are not a waste, but a piece that inspires her to create.

''Timeline of Creation''

We are very excited about sharing this story with you all where we show every step of our creation process including an inside look in our Amsterdam atelier where the whole process is done.

Our pieces stand for timeless luxury. We don't believe in seasonal or in creating a new collection four times a year, besides, we love our lingerie and believe it fits our zeitgeist longer than just a few months, even when it’s considered ‘’fashion’’… We also stand proudly behind our quality and know this is a story that will last; we make sure you can keep wearing these pieces for years to follow.Our collections are made so you can combine or add pieces. So when you want a little change, you can just keep on telling new stories… We do believe in timeless and with these qualities, you will believe in it too. Our pieces are made in two European ateliers. 

We have our own atelier where we create the whole process of a new design, where we create smaller quantities and customisations. Our complete process is shown under ''Timeline of Creation''.

As soon as we feel comfortable to make larger quantities of a piece we have a sample atelier in the north of Romania. We have been working with this atelier since the beginning of our brand and we feel lucky and proud to work so closely with them.

The reason why we choose to work with this company is that they are known for their high quality, it is registered as a safe workspace and it is close to The Netherlands which means shorter transport and we can visit easily. This company is loved and known as a specialist and supplier of highly-qualified services in the field of lingerie, corsetry, swimsuits, and light garments. The company was founded in 1996, operating on 7000 sqm and having 200 employees. It is present on the BSCI platform (Business Social Compliance Initiative) that analysis social issues related to product and work quality and safety. This production atelier has always been one of the top 3 companies, in this area, in the past 10 years.

We work with companies close by to make sure we avoid unnecessary transport distances. Our transports are scheduled as much as possible by truck instead of using plains to make sure we sent as many goods together and we provide garment bags to avoid the use of plastic.

We won’t be able to state that we are completely sustainable, because there are too many things in our world that can not be controlled by ​any of us​. That is why it is so important that everyone does their best to ​think about their environment and people close by and far away. Then try step by step to do better in their personal life and business adventures.​ In our atelier and office based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands we are known to cycle to and from work and we love it! We eat our vegetarian​ ​lunch​es​ together, recycle our garbage, and make sure we get enough breaks during ​the day with fresh air​ to keep our minds and bodies ​in balance.

New innovative ways are being discovered and offered to be able to do better ​from small impacts to larger ones. For example, we only started using mesh in our collections when our supplier proudly confirmed what we have been waiting to hear for so long: quality control was finally perfect for our Green label ROICA mesh made from recycled materials. Another example is that we changed our strap supplier because they are able to make our signature straps from recycled materials. We also choose recycled tulle for our Swiss embroideries. Our atelier in Romania saves leftover material and sends it back to us.

Our packaging is made from recycled materials and plastic-free. We give the option to choose for basic packaging or our luxury brand box so that only our lovely customers who intend to keep using the box to store their gorgeous lingerie will purchase it with their order. This avoids unnecessary waste.

 We are working on the involvement of our company to increase the positive impact on our planet. To do more. We believe this will enrich us and you… With it our signature, our quality, and our stories. 

We want to work with other creative people worldwide and it is truly a dream come true that we are realising this with our lingerie. Before starting a collaboration, we begin with a personal talk to see if our feel, approach, and values match. We do this to make sure our lingerie is not used in a way that contradicts our values.
